What the service is

Speak English Center is a website that helps children learn English words, sentences and basic grammar through picture cards, games and stories.

Who may use it

The site is made for children. A child should use it with the permission of a parent, guardian or teacher, who is responsible for the child's use of the site and of the device.

Using the site fairly

You agree not to:

• copy, resell or republish the site or large parts of its content as your own;
• try to break, overload or interfere with the site;
• use the site for anything unlawful.

What belongs to whom

The name Speak English Center, the logo, the design, the texts, the stories and the software of this site belong to Speak English Center or are used with permission. You may use the site, and print the worksheets, flashcards, reports and certificates it offers, for personal, family and classroom use.

Pictures of words are emoji drawn by your own device or browser. Product and book names mentioned on the site belong to their owners.

Your data

Profiles and progress are stored in the browser of your device, as explained in the Privacy Policy. We do not keep a copy, unless a class code is used. If the browser's data is cleared, or the device is lost or changed, the progress is lost unless you saved a backup file. Keeping backups is your responsibility.

An educational aid, with no guarantees

The site is a study aid. It does not replace a teacher or a course, and we do not promise any particular learning result.

We work to keep the content correct and the site available, but the site is provided "as is": it may contain mistakes, and it may be changed, interrupted or closed at any time.

Voices, speech recognition and some pictures depend on your device and browser, so they can differ from one device to another.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, Speak English Center is not liable for loss or damage that results from using, or not being able to use, the site, including lost progress.

Links and other services

The site relies on some services from other companies, such as fonts and your browser's speech features. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
